Cando Events founder, Flora Hamilton has been directing the annual AMEC Communication Effectiveness Awards programme from 2005 to the current programme in 2008. Services provided to AMEC include: researching and securing media partners and sponsors, advertising sales and editorial management of the awards supplement, copywriting, marketing and communications, researching and commissioning judges, speech and presentation writing and master of ceremonies at the awards ceremony & dinner.
Business Results
The AMEC Awards became profitable for the first time in 2005 and profits have increased on an annual basis due to increased participation and effective commercial management.
Cando Events has been commissioned to organise an integrated marketing conference for AMEC in March 2008.

In 2006 to complement its programme of conferences, WCBF commissioned Cando Events to develop and fully manage The Global Six Sigma & Business Improvement Awards programme to recognise outstanding business success achieved through Six Sigma methodologies.
Business Results
With entries received from 11 different countries, The Global Six Sigma Awards received wide industry acclaim in its launch year and over 200 guests attending the gala award dinner in Las Vegas in June 2006. The programme produced a profit in its launch year.
Cando Events managed a successful second year program in 2007 and has been retained to manage the programme in 2008.
